Everton vs Tottenham: Mark Lawrenson submits his score prediction
Spurs face a final Premier League away trip to Goodison Park this weekend as they come up against the struggling Toffees. Mark Lawrenson has now submitted his Tottenham vs Everton score prediction.
Tottenham cannot climb the table far, but they need the points
Nobody would have imagined Tottenham to be sitting in 14th in the Premier League table come January at the start of the season.
A win against Everton who have had their own struggles this campaign would not necessarily improve Spurs’ position much. However, at this stage, accumulating points is paramount for Ange Postecoglou’s side.
Richarlison and Mikey Moore being able to contribute will provide Tottenham with needed support in the front line.
Mark Lawrenson’s Everton vs Tottenham score prediction
Mark Lawrenson has predicted a win for Spurs in their trip to Everton.
In his predictions column for PaddyPower, Lawrenson said “Tottenham won’t change, they’ll just go for it. I don’t see Everton winning this, I really don’t. As long as Spurs have a chat with the keeper and remind him that he’s not a centre back they might be alright.
“I just don’t see where Everton’s goals are coming from. They’ll be hard to beat because we know that’s Moyes’ way of playing but we might even get a rare Spurs clean sheet here!”
Prediction: Everton 0-2 Tottenham
Antonin Kinsky’s playstyle makes Spurs stronger
Antonin Kinsky has provided a needed boost to Tottenham’s defence. His ability to competently handle crosses as well as excellent shot-stopping and ability on the ball gives Spurs a better chance of winning their games in Guglielmo Vicario’s absence.
Everton are unlikely to press the goalkeeper as much as Arsenal last Wednesday, but Kinsky’s ability to accurately find his teammates should aid Spurs in their approach more than it frightens some pundits.
