Tottenham are not planning a board meeting to discuss Ange Postecoglou – Journalist
Alasdair Gold has provided an update on Ange Postecoglou’s future and has reacted to the rumours suggesting that the Tottenham board are going to hold a meeting about the manager’s position.
Are Tottenham preparing to sack Ange Postecoglou?
Things are going from bad to worse for Tottenham this season, with the club now finding themselves just eight points off the drop zone.
A number of outlets over recent days have claimed that Spurs have already started preparing a shortlist of managers who could replace Postecoglou.
Other sources have even suggested that Postecoglou would be given the two games against Hoffenheim and Leicester to turn things around swiftly if he is to keep his job. Fortunately, the Australian has already ticked the first box with a 3-2 away win over Hoffenheim.

However, Gold has now rubbished suggestions that the North London club are planning on getting rid of their head coach.
The journalist also clarified that the rumours about an impending Tottenham board meeting about Postecoglou are false.
Gold said on his YouTube channel: “You know, that’s the feeling coming out that they’re going to stick with him for now, great, but you have to back him.
“There are some rumours going around like a board meeting that will decide his fate over the next couple of days. From what I understand, that’s just not true, that’s not planned to do that whatsoever.”
Postecoglou will know that he is on thin ice
It is admirable that the Tottenham hierarchy are showing faith in Postecoglou and still hoping that the Australian manages to turn things around.
However, even the 59-year-old will be aware that the club will have no choice but to make a change if their current form continues.
The players will know that they are now playing for Postecoglou‘s future the next few times that they go out on the pitch as one more loss could spell curtains for the Aussie.
