It seems like there is plenty of good news around the corner for Tottenham, with Guglielmo Vicario becoming the latest to provide a positive update regarding his injury.
Tottenham’s problems in goal have been partially solved
The goalkeeping situation at Spurs is not as bad as it was a few weeks ago thanks to the arrival of Antonin Kinsky.
The 21-year-old has looked extremely confident and accomplished, although there have been a few nervous moments in his first few games for the club.
However, there is no doubt that Postecoglou and his coaching staff will want Guglielmo Vicario back in action as soon as possible, and it turns out that they might not have to wait for too much longer.
Guglielmo Vicario provides huge injury update
The Tottenham number one has now taken to Instagram to confirm that he is now edging closer to being back out on the pitch.
The Italian posted a picture of himself in training along with the caption: “Not too long now”, and an hourglass emoji, which will be music to the ears of Spurs fans.
Some of Vicario’s teammates, including Micky van de Ven and Desinty Udogie, were excited to see the 28-year-old back, with the Dutchman commenting: “Yesss Lungo” and the left-back simply writing: “Guglielmooooo”.
Why Vicario’s return is a huge boost for Spurs
Whether or not one thinks Vicario is an upgrade over Kinsky, there is no doubt that the Italian’s return will be a boost to the side because of the leadership he brings.
The former Empoli man is extremely vocal, constantly shouting instructions at his defence, and the fact that Vicario was added to the Spurs leadership group by Postecoglou last summer shows how highly he is thought of by the coaching staff.
The Tottenham head coach also revealed a few days ago that Micky Van de Ven and Cristian Romero are not a long way off returning, which means that there is finally some light at the end of the tunnel for the Lilywhites.
