Tottenham weigh up late move for Sheffield United forward
As the January transfer window edges closer to its conclusion, Tottenham Hotspur have set their sights on a young striker from Sheffield United.
Tottenham Hotspur’s lack of striking depth
Tottenham Hotspur’s search for a striker continues as deadline day approaches. The injury to Dominic Solanke has only heightened the need for extra depth.
With Solanke injured for six weeks and Richarlison being injury-prone, there is a glaring for the Lilywhites to strengthen their attack with at least one more player.
The Tottenham boss himself has said that his players need help and that the club are working hard to make more signings.

Tottenham are monitoring Sheffield United’s Ryan One
Sheffield United’s Ryan One has now emerged as a potential target for the Lilywhites. According to TBR Football, the north London side have scouted One, who has also attracted significant interest from Liverpool, Brighton & Hove Albion, and Brentford.
TBR Football’s chief correspondent Graeme Bailey revealed that interest is mounting in One. He stated that Brighton, who previously tried to sign the player before his move to Bramall Lane, are monitoring him again, while Brentford and Tottenham have also had him watched in recent months.
Liverpool, too, have held a long-standing interest in the young striker. The interest does not stop there, as the publication also revealed that Ipswich Town are reported to be leading the chase for the 18-year-old forward, having made an enquiry earlier this month.
The Tractor Boys, are said to be looking to strengthen their attacking options and are ready to allow Ali Al-Hamadi to leave the club.
This has led them to explore alternatives, including Emmanuel Latte Lath and Haji Wright. However, Ryan One is seen as their priority target, and they may test Sheffield United’s resolve before the deadline.
What does the future hold for Ryan One?
While Tottenham Hotspur’s interest in Ryan One signals their intent to secure a promising young talent, the competition for his signature is fierce, and Sheffield United are reportedly reluctant to part ways with the forward.
Despite having added Tom Cannon and Ben Brereton-Díaz to their ranks this week, the Blades are not under immediate pressure to sell One, who is viewed as a key figure for the future.
Beyond Premier League shores, Red Bull scouts have reportedly been tracking One on behalf of both RB Leipzig and Red Bull Salzburg, underlining the player’s burgeoning reputation in Europe.
Meanwhile, AS Monaco and Juventus have also expressed interest, suggesting that the young striker could have a host of options should Sheffield United decide to entertain bids.
