Tottenham see 42-year-old manager ‘as a genuine option’ for long-term growth
According to one journalist, Tottenham’s interest in a manager who is currently out of work is growing as Ange Postecoglou continues to fight for his future at the club.

It has been widely reported that Postecoglou is not in immediate danger of the sack and is expected to get an opportunity to be in charge for the second leg of the Carabao Cup semifinal against Liverpool at the very least.
However, that has not stopped the speculation linking Tottenham with various managers around the Premier League and Europe, which possibly hints that the club are identifying possible candidates just in case the Australian is not able to arrest the team’s slide.
The two names who have been mentioned most often in relation to the Spurs job are Brentford boss Thomas Frank and Bournemouth head coach Andoni Iraola, two managers who are proven in the Premier League.
Journalist confirms Spurs are fans of German coach
Another name who has repeatedly been mooted as a contender is former Borussia Dortmund boss Edin Terzic, who has been out of work since leaving the Bundesliga side last summer.
Journalist Dean Jones has now weighed in on those rumours, confirming that Tottenham have been impressed by the 42-year-old’s work at Westfalenstadion and see him as a ‘genuine option’.
He told GiveMeSport: “Edin Terzic’s success at Borussia Dortmund, including guiding them to a Champions League final, has not gone unnoticed. Recently, he was considered for the West Ham United job, and the German tactician is seen as a genuine option for Tottenham, offering the potential for long-term growth.”

There is no doubt that Terzic‘s achievements at Dortmund look much more impressive right now, given how the club have struggled since his departure.
However, the German’s appointment will not offer continuity in terms of the team’s vision as he is far more pragmatic than Postecoglou.
At Dortmund, he often got criticised for being too pragmatic and going too direct when coming up against possession-based sides.
That suggests that the squad will have to be revamped again to suit the 42-year-old’s tactical idea, while someone like Iraola might be better suited to working with the squad that Postecoglou has assembled.
