Marcus Rashford’s future is still up in the air

While it has been clear for a while that Marcus Rashford does not have a future at Man Utd, with just a few days left until the window slams shut, the forward has still not managed to seal a move away from Old Trafford.

According to various reports, Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona are both keen on signing the 27-year-old on loan, with the player willing to join either club.

However, it has been explained that neither club may be prepared to match his current £400,000-a-week salary, with the forward having to take a wage cut to seal a move before Monday’s transfer deadline.

Tottenham ready to pounce on Marcus Rashford

The Daily Mail have now claimed that the Man Utd man has his heart set on a move to Camp Nou, but Barca are yet to find space in their wage bill for the Englishman.

The striker is said to be ‘waiting in hope’ that a move to the Catalan side will be sorted out, but if it does not, others may be ready to pounce.

The outlet says that Spurs, West Ham, Juventus, Napoli and Galatasaray are all ready to offer Rashford an exit route from Manchester should his move to Barca fall through.

More recently, MailSport say that Aston Villa are showing interest in signing the Red Devils winger.

The publication adds that the forward and his representatives will have to hold their nerve and wait for Barcelona, but they will not want to risk Rashford being frozen out at United for the next four months.

Will Spurs make a cheeky late offer to Man Utd?

One would imagine that Tottenham and many other clubs in Europe are watching the Rashford situation with interest. Knowing that he is not wanted at Man Utd, a few sides may try their luck with a late offer to the Red Devis and the player to see if they can land a jackpot.

It is clear that Tottenham were prioritising other forwards at the moment, with Mathys Tel appearing to be the club’s top target, but things may have changed since his rejection.
