Tottenham could get six injured players back in 10 days time – Postecoglou
Ahead of Tottenham Hotspur’s clash against Brentford manager Ange Postecoglou has provided a positive update on the injury status of six players.
Tottenham’s injury woes continue
The 24/25 season for Tottenham Hotspur has been plagued by injuries. So far this campaign, manager Ange Postecoglou has had to rely on a small group of fully fit players.
It is so worrying that when it appears like the injuries are easing off for the club, more players proceed to join the treatment table.
Recently, Davies and van de Ven have only just recovered from injury and have since got games under their belt which is positive news for the Lilywhites.
While these ones are getting to full fitness, the North London club have lost Dragusin and Maddison to injuries as well.
Ange Postecoglou gives an update on the fitness of Vicario, Udogie, Johnson, Werner, Odobert, Romero
Speaking to football.london ahead of the clash against Brentford in the Premier League, manager Ange Postecoglou has provided an injury update on some of his key Tottenham players.
He said: “They’re all around 10 days’ time, Vic, Johnson, Destiny, Wilson, Timo, Romero is a tricky one. There’s still work to do but all those guys apart from Dom, a week behind, are all slated for the next week to 10 days.
[With Romero] it’s just a slow healer, looking at on a week-to-week basis. He’s been out a while, it’s just taking time.”
Tottenham injury crisis is still happening
While the update from Postecoglou is a positive one, it does not take away the fact that Spurs are still short of players in the here and now.
The recent setback of Maddison and Radu Dragusin has now taken Tottenham’s injury list of absent players all the way to nine.
In fact, during the clash against IF Elfsborg, the club had just about fifteen senior players in their lineup. The need for further help cannot be overstated – the hope is that in the next few days before the window closes, more help is provided.
