Predicted Tottenham XI to face Brentford

Goalkeeper – Antonin Kinsky: After missing out in the Europa League on Thursday because of being cup-tied, Kinsky is expected to return in goal on Sunday afternoon at the Gtech Stadium.

Right-back – Pedro Porro: If there is one man who needs a little bit of rest it is Porro. With games coming thick and fast, the Spaniard looks like he will continue to play every game – he should start at right back.

Centre-back – Micky van de Ven: van de Ven’s return from injury against IF Elfsborg did go as planned. He got a good 45 minutes under his belt and looked sharp. With Radu Dragusin out for this one, van de Ven could start his second game in the space of four days.

Centre-back – Ben Davies: This is a little bit difficult to decide as both Davies and Gray have looked pretty good at the back. However, I do think Gray needs a rest and this game, might be the best time to hand him one.

Left-back – Djed Spence: On Sunday, we could see Spence return to the starting eleven after he missed last weekend’s clash due to injury.

Pivot midfielder – Yves Bissouma: Lucas Bergvall has performed well in recent weeks, but on Sunday, he could be dropped since Bissouma is now fit.

Central midfielder – Rodrigo Bentancur: Spurs do not have many options to rotate their midfield at the moment, so Bentancur should start against Brentford.

Central midfielder – Pape Matar Sarr: In the past few weeks, Sarr has not looked himself, it is quite understandable given the number of games he has played and the little knock he had. Against IF Elfsborg, he looked more like himself – we will be expecting more from him on Sunday.

Left midfielder – Heung-min Son: The injury crisis for Spurs in recent weeks, has sort of hit the attacking region a lot more. This has reduced Ange Postecoglou’s options drastically, Son should start on the left on Sunday.

Striker – Richarlison: Richarlison is our only fit senior forward at the moment. It is difficult to see him dropped as we need him to get enough minutes in his legs – hopefully, he starts banging in goals as we will need him in form and firing before the cup games.

Right midfielder – Dejan Kulusevski: It is hard to see Ange start Moore twice in a row. Kulusevski was given a brief rest on Thursday too, so he should be back in the team and this time on the right.
