AC Milan waiting to see if Tottenham want to agree late striker deal
AC Milan have offered one of their forwards to Tottenham Hotspur, with a decision now expected from the Premier League club regarding the player shortly.
Tottenham on the lookout for a Mathys Tel alternative
With Tottenham’s efforts to secure a deal for Bayern Munich winger Mathys Tel collapsing, the Lilywhites are scrambling to sign a forward before Monday’s transfer deadline.
One man they could potentially turn to is Milan’s Noah Okafor, who is one of the attackers thought to be on the North London club’s wishlist.
Earlier this month, it appeared that RB Leipzig were set to win the race for the 24-year-old, but the player’s move to the Red Bull Arena has since collapsed.
Tottenham evaluating late move for Noah Okafor
It is now being reported by Italian outlets that a late switch to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is on the cards for the Swiss international.
An update from the print edition of TuttoSport (as relayed by Sport Witness) has claimed that Spurs‘ move for the 24-year-old is in an ‘evaluation phase’ at the moment.
Meanwhile, MilanNews have claimed that the Rossoneri are keen to offload Okafor before Monday’s transfer deadline.
It is explained that the Serie A club have now offered the versatile forward to Tottenham and are now waiting for a final response from Postecoglou‘s men, which is expected shortly.
Spurs do not appear to be showing keen interest in Okafor
It sounds like Milan are more desperate for this deal to happen than Tottenham are, with the English side seemingly focused on other forwards at the moment.
Perhaps we will see the Lilywhites keep the Milan man as a backup option if they are unable to push through a deal for the forwards who are at the top of their wishlist.
