Tottenham not scared of Arsenal and Chelsea competition in transfer race for winger
Tottenham Hotspur are ready to battle their fiercest London rivals for the services of a young English attacker, who is making a name for himself abroad.
If you have followed Spurs Web’s coverage over the last week, you would know that a number of outlets are talking up Tottenham’s interest in signing Borussia Dortmund winger Jamie Gittens.
Several sources have claimed that Dortmund are expected to cash in on the 20-year-old if they fail to qualify for Europe, with Spurs ready to pounce.
However, it has been suggested by several publications that Spurs might have to break their transfer record to sign Gittens, with Dortmund having no intention of letting him leave on the cheap.
How much will Tottenham have to pay for Jamie Gittens?
According to the print edition of Bild, Tottenham have to put €100m (£82.9m) on the table to land Gittens in the summer.
While this figure is in line with the number mentioned by other reports, what is interesting is that this fresh update claims that Ange Postecoglou‘s men remain keen on the player despite Dortmund’s high demands.
In fact, it is suggested that Spurs are fully aware that they will face strong competition from both Chelsea and Arsenal for the pacy wide-man but they intend to push ahead with a move.

Jamie Gittens is open to a return to the Premier League
Bild also explain that Gittens is not happy at the Westfalenstadion at the moment, with Dortmund currently languishing in 11th place in the Bundesliga table.
The player is said to be ‘tempted’ to return to the Premier League at the end of the season, which would give his suitors a big boost in their transfer pursuits.
The report adds that Gittens’ agents are also pushing for a summer transfer as they sense an opportunity for a big payday.
