Predicted Tottenham XI to face Ipswich Town – Yves Bissouma returns

0

Tottenham Hotspur are set to travel to Portman Road Stadium this weekend as they gear up to face Ipswich Town. Let’s take a look at our predicted Tottenham XI to face the Tractor Boys in the Premier League.

Ange Postecoglou‘s side are looking for revenge after Tottenham lost 2-1 to Ipswich Town at home in November with Rodrigo Bentancur’s second half goal proving not to be enough to avoid an upset.

Predicted Tottenham XI to face Ipswich Town in the Premier League

Goalkeeper – Guglielmo Vicario: After his impressive performance on Sunday, Vicario reminded everyone why he is the number one shot-stopper at the club. With him now fit, he will continue behind the sticks on Saturday.

Right-back – Pedro Porro: The second-half performance from Pedro Porro on Sunday, was very impressive. His defensive performance has improved in the last two Premier League outings. Since there is no midweek game before Saturday, he should be well-rested and ready to start.

Centre-back – Ben Davies: If Romero and van de Ven are expected to be out for two more weeks, then Postecoglou will need a consistent centre-back pairing. Davies and Danso looked great against United, so no changes there.

Centre-back – Kevin Danso: Although he was taken off because of a knock, Ange Postecoglou has hinted that there is enough time for his new signing to recover before Saturday’s clash.

Left-back – Djed Spence: It is difficult to see how Udogie gets back into the team with the performances Spence is putting in. He was Sunday’s man of the match, we expect him to start this weekend.

Pivot midfielder – Yves Bissouma: Postecoglou will probably be looking to freshen it up in midfield and we could see Bissouma return. However, based on his performance against Manchester United, it will be nice to see Bergvall named in the starting XI.

Central midfielder – Pape Matar Sarr: When selecting his starting XI this weekend, Ange Postecoglou will have his eyes fixed on the midweek game that follows against Manchester City. In that case, the rotation could be plenty on Saturday.

Central midfielder – James Maddison: A goal on his return was perfect for the Englishman. We expect to see him continue in the advanced midfield role this weekend.

Left midfielder – Heung-min Son: Wilson Odobert is back, which means there is some competition for Son. However, the youngster played just seven minutes, which indicates a full-start is still far off. Son should continue on the left against the Tractor Boys.

Striker – Mathys Tel: It was a solid performance from the Spurs man on Sunday. He looked very agile and active. He made runs, tried to get involved in the build-up play and got loads of shots away. He will be our number nine once more for Sunday.

Right midfielder – Dejan Kulusevski: Kulusevski is always going to be one of the first names on the teamsheet for Spurs this season. Despite Brennan Johnson’s return, the Swede will be starting on the right.
