Tottenham send injured player to Brazil to see a specialist amid ongoing struggles

0

One Tottenham man, who is being heavily linked with a move away from N17 in the summer, has been spotted at his former club, and a new report reveals exactly why he made the trip to his former stomping ground.

With Mathys Tel arriving through the door in January to compete with Dominic Solanke and Tottenham’s other attackers, one Spurs forward’s future at the club looks to be in major doubt.

Reports have indicated that Tottenham are planning to cash in on Richarlison this summer after the striker has once again been hampered by injuries for much of the campaign.

Over recent months, some sources have suggested that Richarlison has had offers to return to Brazil, and the 27-year-old has now been spotted at one of the biggest clubs in his home country.

Why Richarlison made the trip to Brazilian giants

Bolavip have now confirmed that the Tottenham man was indeed at Brazilian club Palmeiras, but they say that his visit had nothing to do with a transfer.

The outlet confirms that Palmeiras have registered an interest in the centre-forward in the past, but the reason he visited the club’s premises was regarding a different matter.

It is revealed that Richarlison went to the Brazilian club to consult with a doctor there and to undergo medical examinations as he tries to shake off his latest injury.

The Spurs man is reportedly being treated by a specialist who works for Palmeiras, who is helping the striker overcome his ankle problem.

Richarlison is of interest to Premier League club

Over recent days, a number of outlets have revealed that Everton are plotting a move to re-sign Richarlison when the transfer market reopens in the summer.

The report explained that the Tottenham man still has a good relationship with the Toffees fans and those who work at Goodison Park, and would be open to returning to his former stomping ground.

David Moyes has allegedly identified the 27-year-old as an option to replace Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who is expected to leave the Merseyside club when his contract runs out in June.
