Tottenham loanee Luka Vuskovic dominates again with standout performance
Tottenham Hotspur loanee, Luka Vuskovic, impressed once again in Westerlo’s 2-0 win against Anderlecht, days after setting a new record.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Tottenham Hotspur firmly believe they have a future star in Luka Vuskovic.
The young defender, who will officially link up with Spurs next summer, has been catching the eye with his performances on loan at Westerlo.
Over the past few weeks, the Croatian centre-back has been delivering impressive defensive displays, further strengthening his reputation.
In Westerlo’s last week’s clash against OH Leuven, Vuskovic put in one of his finest performances to date. It was his third-highest-rated game in a Westerlo shirt, with only two previous outings surpassing it—both of which involved him finding the back of the net.

In fact, across Europe’s top ten leagues, no defender has recorded a higher rating than Vuskovic. His clean sheet against OH Leuven was vital in keeping Westerlo’s survival hopes alive.
Building on that momentum, the Croatian talent delivered yet another commanding performance this week.
On Sunday, Westerlo secured a crucial 2-0 victory over fourth-placed Anderlecht, with Vuskovic once again standing out.
The teenager was the highest-rated defender on the pitch, earning an 8.1 rating from FotMob—significantly higher than his defensive partner, who managed only a 6.6.
Over the course of the match, only two players—Haspolat and Van den Keybus—earned higher ratings than the Croatian, receiving 8.3 and 8.5, respectively.
The numbers behind Vuskovic’s performance
According to FotMob, Vuskovic was the most accurate passer (94%) among players who completed at least 45 minutes.
The centre-back also showcased his attacking instincts, registering two shots, both of which came from inside the box.
He made three progressive passes into the final third and successfully completed two of his three long ball attempts.
Defensively, he was rock solid—never dispossessed, winning 100% of his tackles and duels, both on the ground and in the air. Additionally, he put in four blocks and made four recoveries, further underlining his dominance at the back.
