Tottenham plan to ‘make a splash’ this summer with ‘significant’ spending
This summer transfer window looks set to be an exciting one for Tottenham fans as a fresh report has revealed what Daniel Levy’s plans are ahead of the window.
There is a lot of discontent among the Spurs fan base at the moment, with thousands of fans marching in protest against Levy and ENIC this season.
Many supporters feel that the Spurs hierarchy have prioritised the bottom line over on-pitch success and that many previous managers have not been backed sufficiently.
However, a new update has suggested that Levy may be about to deliver those fans a fitting reply this summer.
Tottenham’s big plans for the summer transfer window
GiveMeSport claim that Tottenham are planning to ‘make a splash’ this summer, with the club already thought to be laying the groundwork for some deals.
The report says that there have been ‘encouraging whispers’ from Hotspur Way which suggest that Spurs’ summer spending will be ‘significant’.
It is revealed that Spurs are looking to tie up a deal to sign Angel Gomes on a free transfer, while they are also working on the signings of Johnny Cardoso, Jamie Gittens and Tyler Dibling.
There are also plenty of exits expected from Tottenham this summer, with the sales of Yves Bissouma, Richarlison, Manor Solomon, Bryan Gil and Alejo Veliz potentially boosting the club’s summer war chest.
Tottenham face an ‘interesting’ decision in key area
GiveMeSport explain that one interesting situation to watch for the summer is whether Tottenham decide to move for a top-class centre-forward to offer competition for Dominic Solanke.
With Richarlison potentially on the way out, the Englishman could be the only out-and-out number nine at the club this summer.
The report also states that Tottenham are making these plans for the summer even though Postecoglou’s job is not secure, with the Australian future depending on how far they go in the Europa League.
This follows an update last week which claimed that Daniel Levy had told Postecoglou that European qualification is the minimum to save his job.
