Eintracht are thus determined to hold out for a hefty fee, with the club telling suitors that they will have to pay £50m to sign the midfielder.

The report states that Tottenham Hotspur face an uphill battle to land Larsson and adds that it would come as a shock if the North London club agreed to meet the German club’s demands.

This is doubly significant from a Spurs perspective as it has been reported over recent weeks that Tottenham are plotting a move for Bellingham, who has helped Sunderland seal promotion to the Premier League.
