THIS is the moment a Ryanair passenger’s “nose was bitten” and lefty bloodied in a mid-air brawl on a flight to Tenerife.
A fellow travel has described how the man’s “face was a mess” after a fight broke out on the plane from Glasgow – over a woman not wearing any shoes.
A vicious brawl erupted on a plane heading to Tenerife South Airport from Glasgow Prestwick yesterday morning.
A 30-second clip showed passengers screaming “oh my God” while cabin crew desperately tried to break up the fight.
Moments later, one man can be seen with blood covering his face as he is led down the aisle by staff.
Now one witness, who didn’t want to be named, has described how she tried to help.
She said: “I was beside the man who had his nose bitten and his face was a mess.
“I was covered in his blood, it was on my hands but I didn’t care, I just wanted to help him.
It’s a real shame as he was trying to keep the peace
Eye witness
“I gave him some wet wipes to clean up but there was blood everywhere.
“It’s a real shame as he was trying to keep the peace when it all happened.
“There was one guy who had been causing problems for most of the flight.
“The man who was bitten was trying to stop him from heading up the plane when it all kicked off.”
TROUBLE STARTS OVER SOCKS
The witness claims that the troublesome passenger was “drunk” and that problems had started earlier in the flight from Prestwick.
And that it had all started from one incident near the toilets.
She said: “There was one woman who went to the toilets and she wasn’t wearing any shoes.
“This guy asked her why she was in her socks and she explained it was because she was on the plane.
“He said that somebody could stand on her toes and that he would stand on her.
“She dismissed him and when she went back to her seat he was up in his and was mouthing things at them – saying ‘I’ll rip you in Tenerife’ and things like that.
“He was like that for the majority of the flight and then it all kicked off at the end.”
FAMILIES WATCH ON
Families, including a young boy, witnessed horror bust-up, with terrified yells of “gonnae stop this” heard off-screen.
Ryanair confirmed that two people had been detained by police.
A spokesperson for the airline said: “The crew of this flight from Glasgow Prestwick to Tenerife requested police assistance upon arrival after two passengers became disruptive in-flight.
“The aircraft landed normally and police removed and detained two individuals.

“This is now a matter for local police.”
As has Tenerife South Airport – where the plane landed yesterday – and Spanish police.
