FORMER Liverpool ace Craig Bellamy has been banned from driving AGAIN after being caught drink-driving.
The Welshman, 39, overtook a police car on the A48 in Cardiff on March 9 before being pulled over and breathalysed.
Bellamy pleaded guilty to one charge at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.
His solicitor, Sian Brian, admitted the former Premier League star had been drinking that day, but with no intention of driving.
He slept and ate after getting a lift back to his house, but later that evening he received a distressed call from his partner.
Bellamy believed he was not under influence anymore, but after taking a breath test he was found to have 67 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath.
Meanwhile, the legal limit in England and Wales is 35 micrograms.
Brian said: “He now realises this was bad judgement and is deeply ashamed and remorseful for his actions that lead to this event.”
Bellamy has been convicted and banned from driving for 18 months, although the penalty will be reduced if he completes a speed awareness course within the next 12 months.
He was also fined £650.
It is not the first time Bellamy has been disqualified from driving.
