Who is Tracie Bennett?
Tracie Bennett was born on June 17, 1961 and trained to become an actress at the prestigious Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts.
The Tony-nominated stage and screen actress made her debut in 1981.
The Lancashire actress made a name for herself on the big screen after starring in Shirley Valentine in 1989.
Tracie famously appeared in Coronation Street from 1982 – 1984, playing Sharon Bentley (née Gaskell), before eventually returning to the role in 1999.
She then conquered the world of television through her roles in Casualty and Doctors among many others.
The 57-year-old also won two Olivier awards and numerous nominations for her theatrical performances in productions such as Hairspray, She Loves Me, and End of the Rainbow.

When is The Bay on ITV?
The Bay kicked off on March 20, 2019, at 9pm and continues at the same time each Wednesday.
The original drama is written by award winning writer and playwright Daragh Carville.
