CORRIE fans were delighted to see bad boy Rick Neelan on their screens tonight, despite him threatening Gary Windass and adding an extra £5k to his debt.
Rick hasn’t been seen since 2012 when he kidnapped Rita Tanner on her wedding day.
Tonight, however, Rick returned to the Cobbles to demand payment of the £15k Gary Windass owes him.
Fans appeared to be equally thrilled and horrified at the surprise, with many delighted to see actor Greg Wood on their screens again.
One fan wrote: “Trying to get over seeing @gregwoodactor on my screen again!! #CoronationStreet”
While another added: “Trevor looks more handsome than he did in #Hollyoaks ”
One cheeky viewer declared: “Trevor Royle/Rick can get in my mouth immediately!!”
It was revealed tonight that Gary had taken the drastic step of securing a loan from the dangerous loan shark, who had returned to collect his money.
Sneaky Gary had hoped Peter Barlow’s bribe money would be enough to pay off his debt, but Rick had other ideas.
Later, Gary had the shock of his life when Rick appeared at the yard wanting £15,000.
After explaining he needed more time, dangerous Rick then upped the dept and demanded £20,000 instead.

He then told Gary he had until tomorrow to pay up, before creepily telling Gary he hated resorting to violence “especially to women”.
Viewers of the soap appeared to be a little more worried for Gary and Sarah’s well-being, with many voicing their fears.
One warned: “Oh no!!!! You don’t want to mess with Rick, Gary!!! I remember that horrible man!!!! ”
While another added: “Don’t get on the wrong side of Rick, Gary”
