The Bay viewers sickened as vulnerable Nick Mooney is brutally beaten and left for dead
THE Bay viewers were left fuming tonight as Nick Mooney was left for dead after being brutally beaten.
Vulnerable Nick was being held captive by Sean Meredith and his mates Ryan and Krzystoff after being linked to Dylan’s murder and twin sister Holly’s disappearance.
Clealry witholding some knowledge of his stepdaughter’s whereabouts, Sean and his pals took out their frustration on him before ditching hinm outside a hospital.
Laying unconscious and with his face a bloody mess, Nick faces a fight for survival.
Viewers were sickened, with one writing on Twitter: “OMG NICK #TheBay @_DanielRyan @TaheenModak.”
Another vented: “You absolute pair of muppets. Nick didn’t do it ! #thebay.”
A third posted: “Oh no… poor nick!! #TheBay .”
Another lamented: “Jeeez poor nick #thebay.”
As a fifth raged: “B*****ds! Poor Nick #TheBay.”
Shortly before Nick irked Sean when he told him he couldn’t help find Holly.
He said: “I want to help you but I can’t.”
When pressed, he went on: “I promised. I’m sorry Sean I can’t tell ya.”
The end of episode two ended with Nick desperately trying to cycle away from Sean behind the wheel of a van.
Half-way through tonight’s episode it was revealed Nick was being held hostage by Sean, Ryan and Krzystoff.
Ryan seemed particularly eager to punish Nick, becoming irked when Sean demanded he was untied and given food.
Nick repeatedly said he was sorry but wouldn’t say why.
There was more shock from viewers as the double cliffhanger saw it revealed that missing Holly’s DNA was found under her dead brother’s fingernails leading them to suspect she was behind his murder.
Stunned, one viewer said: “Was not expecting Holly’s blood under Dylan’s nails? #TheBay.”
Another wrote: “Omg Holly’s a suspect #TheBay.”
As a third said: “Oh my god maybe Holly killed her brother and is now on the run?
#TheBay.”
