Towie’s Bobby Norris surprised by RuPaul’s Drag Race judge Michelle Visage on set – as she films scenes for the reality show

RUPAUL’s Drag Race judge Michelle Visage has shocked Essex locals by having a surprise cameo in Towie, The Sun can reveal.

Michelle is the first celebrity cameo to appear in the series since Tom Fletcher in 2012 – as she surprised pal Bobby Norris during filming.

The former Celebrity Big Brother contestant featured on the show to support Bobby in his petition to make online homophobia a criminal offence.

A TV source said: “The whole cast are really excited to have Michelle film scenes for Towie.

“Bobby had no idea she would be joining him for his Bobby’s Bill Party and was over the moon when she surprised him.

“He’s been on an emotional journey so far – and even visited parliament this week to discuss online homophobia. Having Michelle there as a support system was exactly what he needed.”

Bobby, 32, recently underwent a £9,000 beard transplant and revealed the procedure has improved his confidence.

He said: “I’ve had a little cheeky bead transplant done about a week ago.

“I am really excited and feeling more confident already and looking forward to getting into the new series of Towie.”

He joined the cast in Thailand as part of the new series launch and was filmed exploring the country with new joiner Chloe Ross.

Michelle will star in the UK series of RuPaul’s Drag Race, which tests the best drag queens in the country through a series of unique challenges.

She said: “We’ve been working tirelessly to bring the magic of RuPaul’s Drag Race to my favourite city in the world – London.

“I know the UK has a wealth of talent to offer and I’m thrilled beyond belief to see these queens battle it out on the main stage, UK style. God save the queens.”
