Married At First Sight is a fix and show fakes scenes to make Steph look bad, say bride’s friends
MARRIED At First Sight is a fix and the show faked scenes to make Steph look bad, according to her closest friends.
In a series of posts they have lifted the lid on the Channel 4 show , claiming that clips that were supposed to look like two separate evenings were in fact filmed on one night – and had been heavily edited.
Nurse Steph, 28, married property manager Jonathan, 39, and then quickly decided they were not meant for each other – leading to criticism from those watching at home who have accused Steph of being rude and not trying enough.
During last night’s show Steph and Johnathan were seen hanging out in Yeovil and then in the following scene, which looked like it was the next day, Jonathan’s friends came round.
But her friends have claimed it’s not all as it seems, with one friend, Emma, revealing: “You can tell from the filming that the Yeovil night out with Steph and Jonathan happened the same night as his family came over!!
“Just shows you how they can edit things making it look like two different nights.”
Another friend, Laura, added: “Just to clear up that the Yeovil night out took place the night of Jonathan’s friends went round (consisted of me and Lorna who were there for Steph) then we all went out to Yeovil for the night. Lots of footage heavily edited!.”
Laura, who performed a rap at Steph’s wedding, hit out Twitter users who were judging Steph and again reiterated her point that the footage had been edited.
When one troll said they wouldn’t like Steph caring for her in hospital, she retorted: “Wow what a naive rude thing to say! You’d be lucky to have Steph as a nurse!! How stupid to bring in her profession over a heavily edited TV program!!”

She told another Twitter user who questioned Steph’s facial expressions: “Remember there is a lot of footage filmed and they will put out what they want!! We were there that night and not what it seems.”
Emma agreed, telling followers: “Crazy that people can have an opinion on a person after watching 20 minutes of heavily edited TV!! Over 600 hours filmed and you are shown only 47 mins of both couples! Get a grip.”
The Sun Online previously revealed that Steph and Jonathan already made the decision to split before the show even aired.
The news is unlikely to surprise viewers as Steph announced last night that she wanted a divorce.
Married At First Sight declined to comment.
