Ms Rowling, 53, sued at Airdrie sheriff court.
Her spokesman said: “She’s pleased. Court was a last resort to make sure Ms Donaldson is not in a position to breach another employer’s trust.”
The writer will give the cash to her children’s charity Lumos.
