THE Chase fans were left stunned last night when a contestant revealed she’d bought a house for £70,000.
Sammy, from Doncaster, was given the option of gambling £4000 she’d won in the cash builder to take home the mega sum.

Viewers weren’t surprised when she decided to stick after losing all her team mates, but they were left gobsmacked and dismayed when she turned down the offer and then told The Sinnerman: “That’s how much I bought my house for.”
Though house prices across the UK dropped by 15 per cent last year, the average cost of a one bedroom flat in London is £400,000.
And it was a bitter pill to swallow for many viewers, as one moaned: “As if you can get a house for 70 grand in some places I hate London sometime.”
Another wondered: “£70k for her house, does she live in a f***ing shed?”

And one fan mused: “70k for a house!! Can’t even get a static caravan for that near me.”
Yesterday, The Chase’s Anne Hegerty found herself shocking viewers when she admitted she was threatened with suspension from the quiz show after calling a troll a ‘c***’ on Twitter.
The 60-year-old was “ordered” to take the tweet down by ITV after her rude response, which is believed to have been supporting Emily Atack, racked up 25,000 likes.
Anne removed the message after being asked to be ITV who were not happy about it.

Speaking on Lorraine, she said: “I’ve been known to get in trouble for doing that [answering back on Twitter].
“I tweeted a tweet last month, it got 25,000 likes, before ITV ordered me to take it down and threatened me with suspension.
“So I took it down.

Anne didn’t comment on the specific tweet, but last month she slammed one Twitter user as a “sad c***” after they had trolled Emily.
Meanwhile, the star recently admitted she is often inundated with comments asking if she is leaving The Chase when she talks about her “final Chase” on the show, but is in fact referring to the concluding segment of each episode.
