The big, sturdy blue bags, which sometimes double up as laundry baskets, or to carry the chain’s frozen Swedish meatballs home, have been given a new lease of life.
Photos show the bride, while on the loo, managing to scoop up the skirt of her dress and put it in the iconic big blue plastic bag, allowing her to use the toilet with ease.
Her photo has gone viral since being uploaded to Facebook, with people praising her ingenuity.
She wrote: “I was really worried about going to the bathroom and not being able to … handle myself.
“Someone helping or watching me going to the bathroom on my wedding day?
“Not being able to have free hands to use the toilet paper? Or even worse if my period decides to show? NO WAY!
“Some stuff like this bridal bathroom helper exists but are expensive just because it is wedding related.
“My bridal bathroom helper hack costs about 0.80 euro and I did it the day before my wedding.
“It took only 3 minutes.
“What I like best is it’s almost free and allows me to make my life easier on my wedding day.”
Zips, corsets and buttons all make getting in and out of a wedding dress difficult.
And if you’ve opted for a full, princess style skirt, it’s even harder doing simple things such as climbing stairs or using the loo.
Holding up layers of tulle, taffeta and netting has long been in the unwritten handbook of bridesmaid duties.
One impressed person commented on the bride’s post: “Wedding prezzie sorted.”

By the response to her suggestion, it seems brides-to-be have been eyeing up the bag as a potential necessity for their big day.
One asked: “Reckon a big Tesco one would work then u don’t have to be on toilet duty with me.”
While another said: “Just get me an Ikea bag and you won’t need to help my pee.”
This person rejoiced: “Don’t need the fancy expensive netted one just get me an Ikea bag.”
Another wit suggested: “Fancy an Ikea bag as your something blue?”
