TRUST Me will get off to a terrifying second series as paralysed soldier Jamie McCain witnesses a murder in hospital.
The injured soldier – who is played by Harry Potter star Alfred Enoch – will be left trapped in the hospital after falling from a building in the line of duty.
But his standard hospital treatment will soon turn into a terrifying ordeal when he realises patients are dying all around him – and not because they are sick.
Soldier Jamie is told by another patient: “People die in here, I have the evidence. You have to be careful, we all do.”
“They’re killing people,” he later screams as he tries to escape his torment.
Writer Dan Sefton said the entire premise of the second season will see Jamie fight to end the murders.
He said: “I just thought it was really interesting idea to have someone who was previously really strong and fit and sort of physically defined themselves to become completely kind of broken and unable to do anything.
“And then the idea of them trying to, you know, investigate — getting a zest for life back, or a reason to live back, just because they have to do something to stop somebody else being killed.”
John Hannah and Ashley Jensen will also star in the show after first season star Jodie Whittaker left to join Doctor Who.
Mummy star John will portray sinister doctor Archie Watson and Agatha Raisin actress Ashley will play a committed physiotherapist in the four-part BBC drama.

John’s alter-ego’s awkwardness will hide his seedier and sinister side, and the Four Weddings and a Funeral star cannot wait to “disturb the nation” with the part.
He said: “I’m very excited to be involved in unsettling and disturbing the nation by being part of ‘Trust Me’ in this Hitchcockian tartan noir thriller.”
Outlander actor Richard Rankin will play neurologist Dr Alex Kiernan who appears to be a fun and dedicated doctor, but hides his huge ambition.
Richard said: “What a cast to be joining! As part of a richly drawn and intriguing ensemble of new characters – it’s going to be a lot of fun bringing Alex to life.”
