KATE Beckinsale’s character Georgia Wells finally tracks down Pieter Bello in tonight’s episode of The Widow.
The dodgy South African businessman, who tasked a child soldier with gunning down a miner in episode 3, wasn’t hard to find after a barman revealed his real name in episode 3.
And Bello is almost in Georgia’s clasp after she comes across the village where the brutal execution took place and a grieving wife identifies him from a photograph.
The charity worker she’s travelling with translates the frantic woman’s words, and says: “This man killed her husband.
“He was here a day or so ago and he came with soldiers. The militia were with him. They came to kill her husband. This man made a young girl do it. Her husband ran the operations for Peter Bello.”
Up until this point, Georgia didn’t know the extent of Pieter’s dirty past and how he was connected to her husband, Will.
However, Charles Dance’s Martin Benson, Georgia’s family friend, was seen getting closer to the truth in episode 3 as he tracks down plane crash survivor Ariel Helgason (Ólafur Darri Ólafsson).
It was previously thought Georgia’s husband Will died on the aircraft that went down three years earlier.
And the dramatic third instalment rewound to when the bomb exploded and the aircraft that supposedly killed him went down.
But Ariel reveals he survived with a fellow passenger called Dominique, who was murdered after she told authorities the truth about how the plane exploded midair.
And viewers now believe Will didn’t even board the plane.
One fan theory shared on Twitter read: “So basically, the blind guy was the only survivor on the plane and the only one that truly knows what happened on the plane.
“Will never even boarded the plane, I reckon the people who captured Will planted the bomb to make it look like he was dead.”
And their claim was echoed by viewers who speculated Will wasn’t on the plane because he was seen in a travel container box in a previous episode.
