JASPER CILLESSEN has revealed plans to quit Barcelona which will alert Premier League clubs in the hunt for a keeper.
The Dutch stopper was linked with Arsenal and Liverpool last summer which suggests he may be open to a move to England.
The 30-year-old has made just seven appearances for the Catalans this season – and all bar one have been in their run to the Copa del Rey final.
Despite limited opportunities in the 17/18 campaign, Cillessen opted to stay at the Nou Camp in the face of interest from the Gunners and the Reds – who signed Bernd Leno and Alisson instead.
At the time, he said: “Arsenal and Liverpool aren’t bad clubs, but if Barcelona say ‘we love you’ then I’ll accept their decision and continue there.”
But having played second-fiddle to Marc-Andre ter Stegen for another season, Holland’s number one is ready to move on.
He said: “First I will go on holiday and then I hope to have a new club where I can play because I want to play.”
With David De Gea’s recent form under scrutiny, Manchester United will surely be keeping tabs on the situation.
