The best cheap bathroom cabinets – from wall-mounted to glass, freestanding and wooden styles
OUR pick of the best cheap bathroom cabinets means you can add plenty of storage without shelling out heaps of cash.
The bathroom is often the smallest room in the home yet usually needs plenty of space to house everything from towels and cleaning products to toiletries and medicines.

So how do you fit in all the storage you need without overcrowding a compact space?
There are two main options to make the most of every inch: wall-mounted units and freestanding cabinets.
We’ll guide you through which type is right for your space and then pick out some of the best examples.
The best part? They’re all well under £70.
Wall-mounted Cabinets
This is the best option if your bathroom is really small.
Keeping the floor clear will not only keep the room free of clutter but will also help increase the feeling of space.
With that in mind, wall-hung cabinets with mirrored doors are a smart choice as they help bounce light around the space and create a more open feel, as well as doing away with the need for a standalone mirror.
Similarly, white – especially white gloss – or pale-wood finishes on cabinets will stop the room feeling “closed in”, so try to stick to these over dark-wood and stronger colours.
If you really need to make the most of every inch, look for corner units that make use of otherwise wasted space and won’t encroach on your space.
For a super-sleek vibe, seek out cabinets with sliding doors or finger pulls, rather than those with handles or knobs.

2. Freestanding Cabinets
One well-chosen freestanding cabinet can house all manner of things, so sometimes it’s worth sacrificing a bit of floor space if you really do need lots of storage.
It’ll mean you’re able to keep other cabinets to a minimum and your bathroom feeling clutter-free.
If possible, go for a freestanding unit that combines both cupboard space and either shelves or drawers (or a combination of all three!) to ensure easy access for the right items.
Some things, such as towels, are better stored folded up in drawers, rather than in a cupboard, while tall and irregular-shaped essentials, such as bottles and medicines, fare better in a cupboard.
Shelve It

Ideal for an unused corner, this freestanding unit has a large cupboard for stowing away all those uninteresting bathroom essentials, and two deep shelves that are perfect for stacks of neatly folded towels and showing off all your posh toiletries.
There’s even space on top to pop a plant or a scented candle.
The feet are adjustable, too, which is handy if you have a slightly uneven bathroom floor.

Its painted finish and tongue-and-groove detailing makes it the perfect addition to a modern country-style bathroom.
