The best cheap bathroom suites – our pick of the top three-piece styles, including toilet, basin, shower or bath
OUR pick of the best cheap bathroom suites means you can give a tired, dated, bathroom a new lease of life on a budget.
It doesn’t have to cost the earth, and it will make a huge difference to both the look and feel of the room.
So what exactly does a suite include and what should you look out for when buying?
A suite generally includes the toilet and basin, and sometimes a shower enclosure or bath, too.
All the ones we’ve found, below, comprise three pieces: a toilet, basin and shower/bath.
And, when you consider that you’re getting all of that for less than £375, you’ll realise that overhauling your bathroom is much cheaper than you first thought.
What Style to Choose
Of course, it’s all the extras, such as taps and shower heads, as well as accessories, that really dictate the look of a bathroom, but the suite you choose can set it off on the right footing.
If you’re leaning towards a traditional-style bathroom, look for curved cisterns and basins, as well as those with lipped edges.
For a more modern feel, go for sanitaryware with sharp, clean lines without any fussy detailing – clean and straight is what you want.
To up the sleek factor, basins and toilets that are integrated into units and hide cisterns and pedestals will give your bathroom a much more modern feel.
Make the Most of Your Space
If your bathroom is on the compact side, there are some tried-and-tested tricks that will enable you to fit in everything you need without your bathroom feeling cluttered.
Firstly, short-projection toilets and basins are less deep than regular designs, so they won’t jut into your space as much.
Similarly, wall-hung toilets and basins free up the floor area and help to give the illusion of more space.
In a small bathroom, a shower enclosure is generally a better option than a bath.
They require less space and, as they’re primarily made of glass, they keep the room feeling airy and uncluttered.
If space is really tight, look for a quadrant shower enclosure – this type has a curved front that doesn’t encroach onto a space as much as a square design.
With that in mind, we’ve searched far and wide and tracked down the best suites – all of which come in at under £375 for the lot.
Happy shopping!
