IT seems Gary Windass is doing all he can to steal the Corrie crown for most prolific killer.
The builder, played by Mikey North, will claim another victim in the coming weeks as he takes out gangster Rick Neelan (Greg Wood).

It will be the second death he is responsible for after it was unveiled on Friday night that he was the person behind the factory collapse, which killed Rana Habeeb (Bhavna Limbachia).
A Corrie insider said: “Gary’s involvement in the Underworld roof collapse was only just the start of his demise.
“He becomes an all-out bad boy after the breakdown of his relationship with Sarah Platt.
“It’s going to cause shockwaves in Weatherfield and have huge implications for Gary.”

Cast and crew have already filmed the dramatic scenes, including one which will see Rick’s daughter come looking for him.
Gary is forced to make up a story about why Rick is missing and claims that he did a runner because some bad people are after him.
She does not believe him, however, saying her dad would never leave without saying anything and begins to suspect something bad may have happened.
Actor Mikey recently hinted that his troubled character will be heading down a “dark path” as he struggles to cover up his guilt following the roof incident.
He said: “If he thought things were bad after the factory collapse then life is about to get a whole lot worse for Gary.”
Other well-known Corrie killers include Pat Phelan, Richard Hillman and, of course, Tracy Barlow — who are all triple murderers.
At the rate Gary’s going he could soon top the lot.

GOLD is launching a comedy series called The Cockfields.
The three-part show has an intriguing cast, featuring Joe Wilkinson, Kim Cattrall and Nigel Havers.
It tells the story of an oddball family on the Isle of Wight.
Lucy gong for it
LUCY FALLON looks like she enjoyed at least as many drinks as Coronation Street had wins at The British Soap Awards.
The actress was celebrating alongside soap pals including Stephanie Davis, Louisa Lytton and Amy Walsh as Corrie scooped five gongs on Saturday.

Lucy looked a little worse for wear as she left the after-party at the Menagerie Restaurant in Manchester arm-in-arm with boyfriend Tom Leech.
She recently confirmed she has quit her telly role as Bethany Platt after four years.
She follows a long list of Coronation Street stars who are leaving the ITV soap, including Katie McGlynn, Kym Marsh and Tristan Gemmill.
There will be no one left at this rate.

ROBBIE Jackson returns to Eastenders tonight. With son Sami in tow and ex-wife Nita at home in India, he takes Kush up on an offer of a room.
But Sonia quickly becomes suspicious of her brother when he clams up every time she mentions Nita and he later ignores a text message from his ex about Sami’s return.
Elsewhere, Louise is horrified when Phil suggests he should pay for her to have an abortion.
On Emmerdale, Jamie’s wife Andrea arrives with their daughter Millie.
Kim is stunned to find out that not only does she have a daughter-in-law – and one who isn’t afraid to stand up to her – but there is a granddaughter, too.
I can’t quite imagine Kim as the granny type.
Ross tackles knife gangs
FROM shadowing armed police to investigating the perilous journey migrants make, Ross Kemp is becoming more known for his hard-hitting documentaries than his time on EastEnders.
Now Ross will be exploring knife crime as part of a new Channel 4 show called Living With Gangs, which is set to be on our screens this summer.

A source said: “It’s a question that many people would want to ask: Why do these kids carry knives and how do they get to that point where they could kill another human being?
“Ross has spent a few weeks in some seriously hairy situations, grilling gangs on the streets of Sheffield and London and asking why.”
Ross previously delved into gangs for Sky 1 between 2004 and 2009 – and even scooped a Bafta for his work.
He will be hoping this new documentary does the same.

HIGNFY meets sports
I CAN’T think of the last time I went a day without discussing a football talking point and clearly neither have execs at the BBC.
I’m told the Beeb is making a sporting version of Have I Got News For You called Sports Quiz.
Filming has already begun on the format which will see BBC Breakfast business presenter Steph McGovern host, and panellists Jon Richardson and football legend Ian Wright discuss the week’s controversies.
The makers of HIGNFY, Hat Trick Productions, are also behind the new programme.
A TV source said: “It’s a smart, satirical take on the sporting week.
“Sports stars, journalists and comedians will all be on the show dissecting some of the biggest sporting stories of the week.”
It sounds right up my street.
Cat’s over-Bearing
THE past few years in the showbiz wilderness would have served Catherine Tate well for a reality telly gig she was talked out of.
The comedian was asked to appear on Bear Grylls’ Celebrity Island by Channel 4, but her 15-year-old daughter Erin feared for her mother’s life if she was to take part in the show, so she wouldn’t let her.

Catherine said: “I’ve turned down Strictly, and the one thing I really wanted to do, but I was asked not to by my little girl, was going to do Bear Grylls.
“She was frightened in case something happened to me.
“Producers said, ‘You’re on an island, eating your own hair, melting toe nails’.
“Barack Obama, Will Ferrell and Stephen Fry have all done stuff with Bear, and I would have loved to have done that, but it was more important that my daughter wasn’t worried about me.”
Speaking on the How To Own The Room podcast she added: “I would never turn anything down because of fear. It’s good to do things for that reason.”
