Today’s free horse racing tips: Haydock, Hamilton, Chelmsford, Ripon and Ffos Las – Steve Mullen’s betting preview for Thursday, June 6
HAYDOCK
2.10
HIGHWAYGREY managed to win easily here last time despite missing the kick. He came with a late run and had plenty in hand crossing the line. He is up 5lb for that but this longer distance could well bring improvement.
Smeaton went well when second in the soft at Hamilton last time out. He is off the same mark and should be competitive.
Admirals Bay scored well at Yarmouth last time and has every chance under a penalty if handling these slower conditions.
2.40
MASAAKIN could be the pick of the newcomers given that there are plenty of winning juvenile sprinters in her family. Trainer Richard Hannon will make sure she knows her job on this debut.
Walk In Marrakesh is another bred to be speedy at two and Mark Johnston is having his usual decent run with juveniles.
Internationalangel showed some positive signs on her debut at Nottingham last time and should improve for the experience.
3.10
MAJESTIC SANDS quickened up well to win on debut at Leicester last time despite running green and veering off a straight line in the closing stages. There should be a lot more to come.
Dubai Station and Partridge were both second on debut last time in similar races to this and should go close if this slower surface suits.
3.40
TOMAHAWK RIDGE comes here in good form after winning at Windsor before a good second at Redcar last time. He’s up a fair 4lb for that which should mean he’s competitive again today.
Tone The Barone had plenty in the tank when scoring at Windsor latest so a 7lb rise in the weights holds no fears.
Sylvia’s Mother is proven on ground with some cut and didn’t get going at Chester last time. She has an each-way shout at big odds.
4.10
JABBAROCKIE has been knocking on the door with a couple of good thirds at Thirsk since returning to turf. He won’t mind this ground and looks handicapped to run another good race.
Boundary Lane did well to be beaten a length at Redcar latest after stumbling when the gates opened. He’s off the same mark here and a repeat of that run would see him go very close.
Youkan was a good fourth at Ascot last time in a better race than this. He doesn’t mind some cut in the ground and has gone well here before.

ENOUGH ALREADY hasn’t run since last July but his most recent start showed lots of promise when he was third in fair company at Goodwood.
He may need this but the longer distance should help and he has enough quality to win. Modakhar is nicely bred and is worth a look in the betting ahead of this debut.
Guandi was a fair second at Chester last time behind a decent winner and is proven at the distance. He should be on the premises again.
5.10
FIRBY won well last time out and should go well again on this debut for a new trainer. He has been upped 6lb for that which means he’ll be competitive over a trip that suits.
Thorntoun Care wasn’t disgraced in fifth at Ayr last time and sees out this distance well enough. He looks handicapped to run well again. Punkawallah likes it here and wasn’t far off the pace at Wolverhampton last time.
