HORRIFYING footage shows a prison guard turning off his body camera and beating a mentally-ill inmate strapped to a chair before his colleague joins in.
The chilling attack was caught on CCTV in a tiny cell in the Cuyahoga County Jail in Cleveland, Ohio.
Corrections officer Nicholas Evans can be seen calmly standing next to the chair before pummelling the face of the inmate.
Prisoner Terrance Debose, 47, was left utterly defenceless while his arms were tied down.
‘I WANT JUSTICE’
Moments later a second corrections officer, Timothy Dugan, appeared in the frame and started punching Debose in the face.
Evans hit the helpless prisoner six times while Dugan punched him twice during the 13-second attack.
The sick pair then left Debose strapped to the chair as he lay there bleeding and concussed for two more hours.
He said they beat him up bad. I want justice for him. They don’t have the right to do that. You see so much police brutality. I just want justice served at this point.
Emmanuel Debose, victim's brother
Debose, was initially jailed on cocaine possession and charges of tampering with evidence.
He was later charged on aggravated burglary, felonious assault and theft.
The victim’s brother, Emanuel Debose, told Cleveland.com that his brother has always suffered from a mental illness, but is unsure of the diagnosis.
He said his family were trying to get his brother the mental health treatment he needs. “He said they beat him up bad.
