Love Island 2019 – what happened this week? Recap, gossip and highlights from all five episodes
IT’S been a whirlwind start to ITV2’s Love Island, with the arrival of three new contestants, Callum Macleod being eliminated and the ongoing love triangle between Lucie Donlan, Joe Garratt and Tommy Fury.
It seems, however, that Molly-Mae Hague’s arrival is about to ruffle a few feathers, having already shown interest in Tommy – but what else occurred on Love Island this week?

During its premiere episode on June 3, every islander coupled up with another accomplice to kick things off, and Lucie proved to be fairly prominent with the young men.
The blonde bombshell made it known that she wanted a hunky surfer and seemingly already had two male Islanders competing for her attention.
Joe was one of them, who confessed: “I want to go get Lucie for a private chat but I don’t want to be the guy to go over and be over the top with it.”

Its premiere episode would also see the arrival of newcomers Tommy and Curtis Pritchard, and the guys seemed worried that the new fellas could potentially end up stealing their girl.
Tommy confides in Curtis about his crush on Lucie and Amber Gill while the original male islanders gather to discuss the dynamic in the villa.
And while it initially seemed like they wouldn’t get along, Anna Vakili and Sherif Lanre wound up hitting things off, having even shared a bed together the night prior.
Sherif revealed: “Last night was nice. I feel like me and Anna are on the same page.

Amber and Callum come to the understanding that they are not meant to be together, but there doesn’t seem to be any animosity on either end.
Tommy causes drama in the villa after picking Lucie as his partner – the circumstance would escalate as the days advanced seeing that Joe had now been left without an islander to coupled up with.
Lucie tried to see whether there was a chance between her and Tommy, yet at last, she understood that her bond with Joe simply isn’t the equivalent, so she distanced herself from the boxer – but only momentarily.
Tommy could not seem to let Lucie out of his mind, declining to abandon the blonde who he’s fallen for – yet he knew with Joe in the way, he’ll need to set up an extreme battle to win her over.

Amy Hart got significantly closer to Curtis, having depicted him as a “lovely person” who she would have liked to kiss but stressed that the circumstances weren’t right at the time.
Following Molly-Mae’s arrival, she was sent on a date with Tommy – as chosen by viewers at home – and the two certainly enjoyed each other’s company.
Heaping on the compliments, Tommy proceeded: “You’re literally my ideal women. You’re a gym girl. You’re beautiful.”
Sherif at last opened up to Anna about his affections for her, admitting he “really likes” the pharmacist, before conceding he felt desirous when Anton Danyluk began to graft her.

Lucie admitted to Tommy that she’s jealous by the way that he would go on a date with another girl and stands up to him about it. Lucie felt undermined by Molly-Mae, who had now shifted Tommy’s attention away from her.
Later that day Amber received a text, which read: “Islanders. Tonight, there will be a recoupling. The girls will choose and the boy not picked to be in a couple will be dumped from the island. #GetPickedOrGetPacking #BoyBye.”
Unsurprisingly, Amy chose to partner with Curtis, Lucie picked Joe and Amber recoupled with Anton.
This left Callum without a partner, thus prompting his predictable elimination.
