Teacher writes adorable letter of ‘proof’ to the tooth fairy that her student’s tooth fell out and was binned… and parents are loving the idea
A TEACHER has revealed how she wrote a letter to the Tooth Fairy when a distraught student’s tooth was accidentally thrown away at lunch time.
Known only as Mrs Roth, the caring woman penned the adorable note to cheer up the little girl, later sharing it on Reddit, to the delight of hundreds of parents.

Teacher Mrs Roth explained to the imaginary tooth collector to satisfy the child, named Lily, that she would still receive money for her tooth under her pillow that night.
She wrote in the letter she gave to Lily to take home: “Dear Tooth Fairy, I can confirm with full confidence and authority that Lily lost her tooth at school today.
“In the excitement and chaos of lunch time, it was tragically thrown away by accident.”
Mrs Roth went on to explain that the school caretaker, Fred, would keep an eye out for the lost tooth, but that she doubted it would turn up.

“Please take this note as proof of tooth loss,” the sweet letter continued. “‘If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me at any time.”
The letter is thought to have been a big relief for the student, who would have been very upset that the Tooth Fairy wasn’t coming that night.
Many parents have reached out to praise the note made by the teacher, noting how they would want their child to be reassured and calmed in the same way.
“This is the kind of sweet, considerate teacher every student needs at least once in his or her schooling adventure,” one mum wrote.
