From the outside, the home in the Rhondda Valleys, South Wales, fits the bog-standard appearance, with a classic brick layout and a white front door.

Denise and Michael Protheroe have spent the last decade designing this opulent paradise.
The entire interior fits a colour scheme of light grey and white, which Denise believes matches her quirky personality.
But she really wanted the house to represent all things “glitz and glamour”.
Surrounding the crystal chandelier in the front room, a large white dining table is set with huge white dining chairs each with huge grey cushions on them.
Mirrors garnish every corner of each room, to add an extra sparkle to the diamond-encrusted furnishings.
Venetian sculptures are artistically positioned on either side of the regal sofa covered in blue sparkly cushions.
Describing the look, Denise told Wales Online: “I love glamour and sparkle – like Hollywood style mansions.
“I can’t afford a big manor house or a stately home or anything like that – so, this is my own little stately home.”
GLITZ AND GLAMOUR
Moving on from the open plan front room dripped diamontes, you’ll find a large doll-house just next to the stairway.
Denise spent years designing and decorating the house which even has a specially made doll-sized gravestone, made by her local funeral director.
The banisters, which lead up to the master bedroom are garnished with small pearls and diamonds.
The master bedroom features a canopy above the bed, but instead of silver, Michael and Denise opted for a gold finish, with gold curtains and golden bed linen.
If that wasn’t enough, a Davinci-style mural was painted onto its ceiling.
The bathroom includes a stand-alone tub, positioned on a specially built plinth, and decorated with crystal chandeliers and a knight in shining armour, on its side.
The outdoor summer house is a mini paradise in its own right, as it follows a tropical theme of hot pink and a clashing wave of blue.
Denise just wanted a retreat, which is why she designed this palace, but she admits it won’t be for everyone.
She added: “There was this one time a delivery man came to drop something off… next minute, he comes running in with his camera and starts taking pictures.
“I’ve never seen anything like this before.
“But, as long as you’re happy. It’s your own house, and you’ve just got to do what you want with it – it’s not everybody’s taste.”
