Andy Ruiz Jr given Snickers world title belt as present for beating Anthony Joshua after revealing he gorged on favourite chocolate before shocking world
ANDY RUIZ JR. has a new belt for his collection after Snickers made good on their promise to send him a special package.
The Mexican shocked the world ten days ago as he downed Anthony Joshua four times on his way to becoming the WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO heavyweight champion.
Unlike many athletes who are on strict diets, the 29-year-old heavy-hitter made became notorious for his love of the chocolate bar.
He even has the Snickers logo as the header for his Twitter profile.
And all the love he gave the candy brand pre-fight has now been rewarded.
Following his triumph over AJ, Snickers tweeted him a congratulatory message before following that up with another saying: “Congrats again on the upset @Andy_destroyer1 ! Victory is sweet, but so is the package we are sending you.”
Now the champ has revealed exactly what that special delivery was via his Instagram page.
Ruiz is now the holder of an exclusive Snickers title belt – and he looked completely nuts about it as he posed with the strap.
“You should be able to go into any convenience store in the world, flash that belt, and get a free @SNICKERS,” declared one fan.
“The only belt that matters,” declared another as another demanded “We need an ‘Andy isn’t himself when he’s hungry’ commercial.”
Another wrote “The best belt you have champ” while a fellow Ruiz follower simply told him “You rock champ!”
Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn has already confirmed the rematch clause has been invoked with another showdown between the pair set to take place in either October or November.
And another of Ruiz’s supporters had a special request for him ahead of the clash, asking: “Please tell me you’re bringing that into the ring for your next fight?”
The Destroyer appeared on “Inside PBC Boxing” in April with a whole bunch of Snickers.
And he revealed pre-fight how his love affair with them began to The Sportsman.
