FRUSTRATED parents have shared pics of THEIR kids messy rooms after BBC presenter Nicky Campbell shamed his daughter on Twitter.
Campbell posted a photo to his 140,000 followers joking he was “bloody sick of” of his daughter’s clothes are belongings being strewn everywhere.
Parents quickly flocked to Twitter to share their own teenage bedroom nightmares.
One dad wrote: “Mate, that’s nothing. Amateurish even. THIS is untidy.”
While another parent wrote: “I’ll take your 19 y/o and raise you my 22 y/o medical student son, who’s been home for “minutes”…”
One parent wrote: “TBF this was stuff that was not only on floor but was stuffed in cupboard and under a futon. Just SOME of the stuff #Kids BedroomAmnesty.”
IT’S A PIG STY!
Another wrote: “A sight familiar to any parent with teenagers who are all feeling your pain right now. However now mine no longer I live here I miss them and their messes.”
Anothersaid: “As a parent of two 20 somethings I just close their doors and let them live in it!”
Alastair Kerr wrote: “I have a 25 year old son with a similar pig sty”.

However, Nicky was forced to defend his tweet after some parents accused him of being “inappropriate”.
Alongside a pic of the bedroom, the veteran presenter had wrote: This is completely unacceptable. You are nearly 19 years old and I am bloody sick of it.
“I don’t care that you were going to tidy it up. It just really p*sses me off.”
He later said the room in question was in fact his 21-year-old daughter Breagha’s – who had returned home from university.
TWITTER BACKLASH
But Labour MP Helen Goodman tweeted: “Really very, very unfair use of power imbalance. Most inappropriate.”
Another commentator, Richard Carter, said: “Calling out your daughter on Twitter. Class.”
Fiona Chance said: “Wrong to tweet this Nicky.
“This picture will now follow her for life when she’s making friends, forming relationships, applying for jobs.
“You have invaded her privacy and possibly at some cost to her future. Keep parenting private!”
Harvey Jones added: “What is unacceptable is any parent putting a picture like this on social media as a punishment. Some things are better kept private and dealt with at home.”

Hitting back dad-of-four Mr Campbell said it was a “comic trope” and his daughter had been in on the joke.
He said: “We laughed and she helped me with the photograph. She is the funniest person I know she makes me laugh out loud but is very untidy.
“It’s a teenage bedroom mess frustrated parent joke trope. That’s what parents say! The cliche.
“She’s 21 so we made it ‘teen’ for the teen joke – we made it together…she finds this hilarious. She is unbearably untidy but that’s artists.”
