Jeremy Clarkson slams traffic police for keeping motorway closed for hours after crash
JEREMY Clarkson tore into traffic police again yesterday — for keeping a motorway closed for hours after a crash.
The ex-Top Gear host said cops had “lost all sense of proportion” as the M4 was gridlocked near Heathrow, causing flights chaos.

The crash between a car and a motorbike before 8am initially saw both carriageways closed.
Within 40 minutes the biker was airlifted to hospital, and eastbound traffic was allowed to continue.
But the other side stayed closed for more than two hours for “accident investigation work”.
‘OPEN THE ROAD’
Sun columnist Clarkson, who was not stuck in traffic, tweeted: “Dear the M4 Police. The injured have now been taken care of.
“So here’s an idea. Open the road.”
But one of his followers replied: “Presume the police have accident investigation work to do which I presume you would want done if it was you or your family member that had been seriously injured?”
Earlier this month Clarkson blasted police after a man in his 70s was killed on the nearby A4 in West London.

He tweeted: “Dear The Police, I know it was a nasty crash in Hammersmith last night but how can it take this long to re-open the road?”
Surrey Road Cops invited him to join them for a shift.
Police said the rider’s injuries yesterday may be “life-changing”.
