RICHARD Dreyfuss caused chaos on The One Show tonight by swearing during the live broadcast.
The Hollywood actor was telling a story about his friend Stephen Spielberg when he decided to say the word “bulls***” leaving hosts Amol Rajan and Angela Scanlon shocked and derailing the entire interview.
Talking about his new movie the Astronaut, he said: “Steven Spielberg said later that had he been married with kids he would not have had the ending that we had and I say to that, ‘bulls***’.”
Host Angela stuttered in shock before saying: “Okie dokes.”
And as Richard continued to speak Angela added: “Sorry about that.”
Amol then bizarrely whispered: “We’re not actually allowed to use that language at this time so we have got to apologise for that.”
Richard then turned it into a joke as the presenters floundered even more: “Oh I’m terribly sorry. I’m more sorry than they are because I get to go home, they’re going to get fired.”
He then began bizarrely reading out the auto-cue at the same time as Amol.
The scenes had viewers in hysterics at the awkwardness and they took to Twitter to share their views.
One wrote: “For fans of awkward telly swearing, Richard Dreyfuss just let loose a mighty ‘bulls***’ on The One Show and the entire interview collapsed ”
