FRANK BRUNO believes Tyson Fury can snatch back the WBC world title from Deontay Wilder now he is in the shape of his life.
The Gypsy King went 12 rounds with the undefeated American in December, three years after his last serious fight, to seal a controversial Los Angeles draw.
Heavyweight Fury, 30, made mincemeat of Tom Schwarz in Las Vegas last weekend.
And he is set for another tune-up bout in New York on October 5 as he mounts a charm offensive on fans in the United States.
But Fury will then hunt down a rematch with the most devastating puncher on the planet.
And British legend Bruno, who twice went to war with Mike Tyson, believes he can complete the job now his fitness matches his finesse.
If he [Fury] uses his boxing skills to stay away from Wilder I think he will be victorious
Frank Bruno
The 57-year-old said: “In the Fury vs Wilder rematch, Fury has to be very cautious as a puncher.
“But you have got to give him credit for the skill he has and the way he has got himself back in shape.
“If he uses his boxing skills to stay away from Wilder I think he will be victorious.
“But with a puncher you have to be very, very cautious and on your toes.”
Fury boxed superbly for almost all of the 36 minutes he shared with the Alabama giant but was caught and dropped in rounds nine and 12.
Incredibly, he got up and put in a performance that rocketed him to top of the heavyweight rankings with Ring magazine and millions of fight fans.
Bruno, who won the famous green and gold belt in 1995 at the third time of asking, still has Wilder at the top of the tree.
But he completes the world’s top four with two other Brits.
Big Frank added: “It’s very, very difficult to say who the No 1 is.

“On paper, it’s Deontay Wilder, who has got the WBC belt.
“Tyson went to his backyard and challenged him so he is up there, as is Anthony Joshua.
“I also give a lot of credit to Dillian Whyte — he’s the boxer that nobody wants to fight.”
