LOVE Island’s Anton Danyluk used to be “painfully shy” and needed “flirting lessons” for his naked butler job, according to his former boss.
The Scottish hunk, 24, is fast emerging as the star of the ITV2 reality dating show for his eternal optimism, hilarious quips and failing attempts to woo his fellow Islanders.
And now Anton‘s former naked butler boss, Brian Matthews, explained that he wasn’t always the ball of energy viewers have come to love and was in fact incredibly “shy”.
Speaking to the MailOnline, the owner of Bare All Entertainment said that he first met the Airdrie native when he was 18 and modelling for a 1920s-themed shoot in Glasgow.
Brian Matthews, the owner of Bare All Entertainment, said: “He was around 18 then and a shy, quiet fella who was well spoken. He wasn’t a hit with the girls and was just young. He was starting to go to the gym and I was slagging him off at the time because his suit was way too big for his frame.”
A year and half later, Brian said that he bumped into Anton again and asked if he would join his roster of naked butlers to entertain hen parties after he had bulked up.

“He definitely had the look and that girls used to giggle when they passed him,” he shared. “He was shy at first and it took a lot of convincing. He seemed really shy at the thought of being naked in front of girls. He had to be talked into it but he said yes in the end.”
Brian, who also appeared on reality series GLOW alongside Anton, admitted that he had to give the Love Island star a few lessons about charming women.
He said: “I had to teach him how to charm the girls, be smooth, how to be accessible and a bit hard to get. I told him not to go with the girls because it was unprofessional and he was really professional.”

more on love island
Despite his initial success, Anton, who is the first Scottish male on the show, turned his attention towards fitness and opened a gym, bidding adieu to his naked butler career.
The reports come after Anton headed for more heartache on this year’s Love Island as it became clear Arabella had her sights set on Danny and was prepared to fight Yewande to get him.
In recent days, the Scottish hunk had his partner Elma Pazar turfed out of the villa in a shock double eviction alongside Joe Garratt and now his latest attempts appeared to have fallen flat.
