LIVERPOOL are set to rival Manchester United in the pursuit of Real Betis man Junior Firpo, according to reports.
Jurgen Klopp’s men came within a whisker of landing a maiden Premier League title last term, but they were pipped to the post by Manchester City.

Currently, Liverpool are yet to announce any fresh summer signings, with Alberto Moreno and Daniel Sturridge confirmed as the players that will be heading for the exit.
While the Reds may only make minor tweaks to push for the title next term, Klopp has his eye on a left-back.
And Firpo, 22, Spanish paper Mundo Deportivo claims, is the player that could replace Moreno.
It is thought that the Dominican-born star– who missed a huge chunk of last season with a hamstring injury – is a player the Reds feel could also provide cover and competition for Andy Robertson.
Newcastle and Crystal Palace have also been keeping an eye on his development too.
Only last month, SunSport reported that Manchester United had opened talks to sign Firpo.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer – who has already clinched a deal for Swansea winger Daniel James – is keen to get some fresh faces through the door.
And defender deals are a priority, as United were very leaky at the back last term, as they conceded 54 times in England’s top flight.
Firpo is thought to have a £54million release clause in his contract.
But he could be signed for £36m, providing a 25 per cent sell-on clause is included in any future deal.
