But speaking to Stella Magazine, Sheridan held her hands up and said she was inebriated at the time of the tweet.
She said: “I was drunk, upset, emotional and angry and…can you believe I, of all people, went and put it on Insta again.
“How many times can I rant off on Insta and regret it and then do it again? I’m such a k**b.”
However Sheridan has turned over a new leaf, and at the time of the interview, she had quit drinking for a week, joking: “You’ve got to start somewhere.”

In the searingly honest interview, Sheridan addresses her turbulent few years, which have included a number of social media outbursts and worrying behaviour in public.
Sheridan explained how she had always struggled to cope with fame and the weight of people’s expectations after winning an Olivier Award and starring in a number of successful TV dramas, saying: “I felt stressed and anxious all the time.
“I was supposed to be a celebrity but I couldn’t do it right.
“I felt so lonely and scared a lot of the time and it killed me.”

But losing her beloved father Colin in December 2016 really tipped her over the edge, having already missed curtain calls and been accused of being drunk on stage during a production of Funny Girl as he battled cancer.
Sheridan – who has always denied the drunk accusations – said: “I couldn’t cope.”
The star saw a number of specialists who said she was suffering from stress and anxiety, but she added: “All I knew was that the man I loved most in the world was in a hospital bed and I just wanted to be with him.”

Sheridan spiralled further after the 2016 Baftas where host Graham Norton made a joke at her expense during the TV broadcast.
She said: “That tipped me over the edge, I just lost it.
“I was in unbelievable distress, trying to keep it all together and then a room full of people in my industry were just laughing at me.”
