Despite the show’s winners landing a £50,000 prize, it’s actually the number of Instagram followers that the Islanders have that land them sponsorship deals after they leave the show.

The Islanders have already seen their followings on the social media increase by hundreds of thousands each – and this will be increasingly valuable to companies keen to reach as many consumers as possible.
It comes after Kairos Media founder Mike Craddock revealed that contestants can earn from £1,000-£6,000 per post on Instagram depending on when they leave the villa.
Data found from storyful.com has revealed boxer Tommy Fury, 20 has gained the highest overall followers on Instagram from of this series – with a total of 952, 306 increased followers.
The top three boys who have gained the most followers since being on the show include Tommy, Curtis Pritchard, 23 and Michael Griffiths, 27.

The 23-year-old dancer has gained an extra 552, 590 followers, and Michael has expanded his followers by extra 497, 291 since entering the villa.
Surfer Lucie Donlan, 21 has gained the largest amount of followers out of the girls in the villa – starting with 100, 338 followers on Instagram and has increased that by 827, 489 more – totalling to 927, 827 followers.
Social media influencer, Molly-Mae Hague, 19 came in second out of the girls, achieving a total of 693, 096 new followers.
Geordie lass Amber Gill, 21 also made it into the top three female islanders having gained the most amount of followers – with an increase of 560, 167 since being on the show.

Before entering the villa, it was also revealed that the blonde bombshells Lucie and Molly-Mae have already cashed in on Instagram promo deals, endorsing products such as clothing, dietary supplements and jewellery.
A source told the Mirror: “This is the scale of the deals they are getting before they even go into the villa.
“Love Island is the biggest show in town and there’s a huge demand to be associated to it.”
Clothing companies such as Pretty Little Thing, InStyle and Boohoo use the contestants to promote their brand because they know that viewers of the show are interested in their brands.
Winners of the show gain a lot of fame, as well as money in the bank – last year’s winner Dani Dyer profited around £1.7million with Mark Hill Hair and the In The Style deals.

The aspiring actress was set to double earnings following her split with Jack Fincham – but was also set to lose £1million in couples deals after they split.
Winners of series three, Amber Davies and Kem Cetinay are said to have made £1.6million thanks to Instagram posts and modelling deals with brands Boux Avenue, BoohooMan, Primark and Sainbury’s.
However, The Love Island Rich List is living proof that the contestants don’t have to win the show to make millions because if they’re liked by the public, the contestants are able to cash in on some serious money.
As well as social media endorsements, the islanders can earn up to £5,000 per personal nightclub appearance – and this all adds up if they do it four times a week.

The first couple to tie the knot after leaving the show, and runner ups of series two Olivia Buckland and Alex Bowen are said to have pulled in £4.4million.
They secured a £25,000 magazine deal when they got married last September and earn around £2,000 for each sponsored post they make on Instagram.
Chris Hughes, who finished third in series three has become a millionaire after landing advertising deals with McDonald’s, First Choice holidays, Coral bookmakers and Green Flag breakdown service.
