CELTIC have rejected Arsenal’s new bid of £17.5million for Kieran Tierney, according to reports.
The Gunners tried to push the deal over the line by including an extra £7.5m in add-ons, but the Bhoys were sceptical of the Emirates side’s proposals.
Arsenal have now seen two bids for Tierney, 22, rejected by Celtic despite offering £2.5m more in the second round of negotiations.
And Football Scotland report the Bhoys laughed off unrealistic conditions of the performance-related clauses the Gunners wanted to include.
The North London offered the Scottish champs extra payments that would potentially take the deal up to £25m.
They were based on Tierney’s appearances as well as Arsenal’s results at home and in Europe.
But Celtic were reluctant to agree to the latest Gunners offer considering their average form in recent seasons.
Unai Emery’s men quickly found themselves out of the Premier League title race in the previous campaign, which they eventually finished in fifth.
And Arsenal squandered their last chance of qualifying for the Champions League when they suffered a humiliating 4-1 loss to Chelsea in the Europa League final.
Tierney is understood be Emery’s transfer priority for this summer with the left-back open to a move to the Emirates.

And although Celtic are reluctant to let the Scot go, they will reportedly sanction a deal if their financial demands are met.
In a further blow to Arsenal, their bitter rivals Tottenham have joined in the hunt for St Etienne starlet William Saliba, 18.
Maurcio Pochettino wants to hijack the deal even though the Gunners have already agreed personal terms with the centre-back.
