Jamie O’Hara admits he couldn’t commit to ex Elizabeth Jayne Tierney because he’s still ’embarrassed’ over Danielle Lloyd divorce
JAMIE O’Hara has admitted he couldn’t commit to his ex Elizabeth Jayne Tierney because he’s still struggling with the embarrassment of his divorce from his first wife Danielle Lloyd.
The footballer, 32, is currently seeking professional help for anxiety and depression as he attempts to regain control of his life after splitting from “soul mate” and former fiancée Elizabeth.
Speaking from Robert Hisee’s The Holistic Retreat, he said: “Elizabeth if my best mate, my soulmate. I don’t know how to deal with relationships, I find it hard to commit due to past mistakes.
“I struggle to lose the fear of the hurt and the embarrassment of things going wrong in the public eye, which is causing me more pain.”
Jamie was engaged to model Elizabeth but they split earlier this year following a series of rows.
He was previously married to Danielle, who he shares three sons Archie, Harry and George with, but they divorced in 2014 following claims he had been unfaithful.
Since his latest split Jamie has been struggling with his mental health, revealing: “People see me on TV and social media and they think I’m happy as I’m always laughing and joking about.
“But the pressures of being in the spot light and under constant scrutiny puts the strain on everything in your personal life, causing your mental health to suffer. It’s a constant battle.
“Sometimes I find it hard to see what the future holds and it makes me feel anxious and sometimes even depressed.”
