FORMER England footballer Ian Wright is in advanced talks to appear in this year’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!.
The legendary former Arsenal striker, 55, has met with producers and is trying to work out logistics so he can take part in the ITV series in Australia.
Producers have made Match of the Day pundit Ian — who bookies say would immediately become a favourite to win the show — a six-figure offer in a bid to tempt him to sign officially.
A source said: “Ian would be a massive signing for ITV who’ve been keen to get him Down Under for a while.
“After watching Harry Redknapp win the last series, Ian has decided he would be up for giving it a whirl.
“He’s been offered a six figure sum to take part.
“Ian’s not afraid of much but has joked to his pals he’ll be useless at the eating tasks because he’s so fussy.”
Ian would become the latest in a long line of former footballers to take part in the hugely-popular ITV series.
Former Wimbledon man John Fashanu was the first ex-pro to enter the jungle in 2003,
And in the last four years Premier League stars Dennis Wise, 52, Wayne Bridge, 38, and Kieron Dyer, 40, have all taken part.
Last year’s series was won by Spurs manager Harry Redknapp, 72.
Ian’s no stranger to eating challenges.
A video of him eating Russian food for The Sun’s Dream Team went viral last year after he started repeatedly gagging.
