In a cruel twist of fate, they play in the competition’s last group match against Australia on Saturday, meaning they’ll have hung around for two weeks since learning that they’d be going home.
West Indies
West Indies started brilliantly by crushing Pakistan in their opening match, but haven’t hit those heights since and were knocked out by India.

As a result of their loss to India, Bangladesh were knocked out of the Cricket World cup.
Pakistan

Despite winning the toss, the Green Shirts needed to post a big score and bowl Bangladesh out for few runs – but only managed 315-9 in their innings, meaning they could not earn the net run rate increase required to overtake New Zealand.
