The eco warrior warned the world risks being plunged into “great social unrest” unless people overhaul their lifestyles.
The veteran broadcaster told MPs airlines will have to “economically restrict” flights by hiking prices.
Asked if that would mean Brits will have to give up their cheap flights to Spain, he added: “Yes, I’m afraid that is the case.”
Sir David said that while people will take a hit to their lifestyles, the dire consequences of the world doing nothing would be far worse.
He said: “The problems of the next 20 to 30 years are major problems that are going to cause great social unrest and great changes in what we eat and how we live”.
He added: “The problem you’re opening now is a very serious one, if the world climate change goes on it is going to be facing huge problems with immigration.
“Large parts of Africa are going to be even less inhabitable than they are now, and there will be major upsets in the balance between our national boundaries.
“These kind of problems are going to grow inexorably and we are going to have to decide what we do about it, that’s going to happen.”
And he revealed his horror at diving in the Great Barrier Reef a decade ago and seeing its drained of fish and bleached white because of the rise in temperature and acidity of the seas.
The nature warrior also took a swipe at Donald Trump for denying climate change, and suggested voters should bin him.

He said: “I am sorry that there are people that are in power internationally – notably of course the US.
“In both Australia and America those voices are clearly heard, and one hopes that the electorate will actually respond to this.”
And he backed Theresa May’s new law to cut Britain’s emissions to net zero by 2050.
Sir David’s show Blue Planet laid bare the killer impact of mankind on the environment.
